This event is the result of trail enthusiasts joining forces to create something special. As the only trail run allowed in the entire Hobbs State Park [trail PDF], the War Eagle Trail Running Festival is very unique and allows both beginner and experienced trail runners a chance to view the beautiful area while taking part in an event in which proceeds benefit the very trail they're running. Each year proceeds benefit the Rogers Lions Club and Friends of Hobbs.
Parking will be near the War Eagle Mill. Please take note that War Eagle Bridge will be under construction this summer and will be closed. There will not be access to the new parking area from the south side of the bridge off of Hwy 412 this year. Everyone must access the parking area from the north off of Hwy 12. If you come in from the south you have two choices... Drive all the way around and start really late or swim.
10k Runners: You will start at the Hobbs Visitors Center as always. You need to catch a bus or shuttle from the parking area to the start. The shuttles will run from 5:30am-6:30am. The last shuttle will leave as the 25/50k starts. After that the road will be closed until all 25/50k runners are off the road. If you arrive after 6:30 you will not make the start on time. Race briefing at 6:50am before the start. Stick around after the race for prize drawings, food and drinks. Shuttles will return you to the parking area following the race. The course is mostly single track with a section of forest service road in the middle.
25/50k Runners: You will start from the parking area behind the mill at 6:30am. No shuttles for you. The course will follow War Eagle Rd. up the hill for 1 mile before hitting the trail. Drop bags are allowed at Piney Rd. aid station. Finish line bags can also be transported for you. Leave them with us at the start and we will transport for you. Any bags need to be labeled as "Piney" or "Finish". Shuttles will return you to the parking area following your race. Drop bags will be returned to the finish line at 3:00pm. Join after after the race for prize drawings, food and drinks.

- There are 2 fully stocked aid stations located on the 10k course.
- There are 3 fully stocked aid stations located on the 25k course (distances between aid stations vary from 3 to 7 miles).
- There are 7 fully stocked aid stations and 2 hydration stations located on the 50k course (distances between aid stations vary from 3 to 7 miles).
